We summarise the main points of discussion from the workshops during the knowledge exchange week on eligibility criteria, risk screening, and due diligence in the context of land use finance, as well as hearing from Corli Pretorius (Deputy Director of UNEP-WCMC) and Christophe Besacier (Forestry and Landscape Restoration Officer at FAO) on how land use financing links to both the climate and biodiversity agendas

The knowledge exchange week started with a discussion of the challenges for effective risk management of sustainable investments. The panel consisted of Jessica Smith (Nature Lead at UNEP Finance Initiative), (Jill Shankleman, Impact Advisor to Agri3), and Leah Samberg (Accountability Framework Initiative).

The aim of the webinar is to help investors, fund managers and others in the land use finance space to understand the relevance and benefits of landscape approach and how it could potentially be integrated in sustainable land use finance activities. We cover what a landscape/jurisdictional approach is, and how is it linked to achieving climate and biodiversity goals, as well as key challenges and opportunities in integrating landscape approaches in land use investments.
